Heritage and Design

The Jacobs 2 is based on an original mouthpiece used by Jacobs and believed to have originated from a 1930s-era Helleberg design that was later modified through a skeletonizing process. CHI Brass carefully studied and recreated the playing characteristics of the original while updating the weight and shank dimensions for compatibility with modern instruments and players.
